Shaking table investigation of inelastic deformation demand for a structure isolated using friction-pendulum sliding bearings

چکیده
This study aims at investigating experimentally if seismically isolated structures can manifest inelastic behavior when they are subjected to strong earthquake ground motion excitation. A steel structure is with four friction pendulum bearings and an ensemble of recorded excitations using the shaking table ETH Zurich Laboratory. The designed concentrate its on a mechanical clevis connection comprising two hinges pair replaceable coupons. use this configuration enables adjustment strength thus parametric investigation displacement ductility demand µ for wide range excitations. derived values compared analytically determined obtained through R y - μ-T n relations fixed-based corresponding developed structures.
